Northside Christian School's Hybrid Learning Program offers the best of both worlds—combining the structure and community of in-person education with the flexibility of home-based learning. With live online classes four days a week and one day in-person filled with hands-on activities and chapel, students thrive academically, socially, and spiritually. Our faith-focused, family-partnered model empowers parents to be actively involved while our experienced teachers guide the learning journey using a biblical worldview and state-accredited curriculum.

With Northside's hybrid program, four days a week begin with live, interactive online classes from 8am-12pm. Students log in from home using their school-issued device to engage in real-time instruction with experienced teachers and classmates—just like a traditional classroom, but with the flexibility of learning from home. Classes are broken into manageable blocks with short movement breaks in between, helping students stay focused and refreshed. The mornings are structured and led by teachers, covering core subjects with high-quality, standards-based curriculum and a biblical worldview woven throughout.

Afternoons from 1-3pm are dedicated to flexible, self-paced learning. During this time, students work independently on projects, complete assignments, or meet with teachers during virtual office hours for one-on-one support.
One in-person day a week brings students together at Redeemer Missionary Church in South Bend for chapel, hands-on learning activities, community building, and group work. It’s a time to strengthen friendships, deepen faith, and engage in experiences that enrich what they’ve been learning throughout the week. This blend of structure, independence, and community makes each school day at Northside dynamic, meaningful, and future-focused.

Northside Christian School's Hybrid Learning Program is designed for students in grades 6th–12th. This flexible model is ideal for families seeking a more intentional and balanced approach to education, one that honors both academic excellence and home life. Whether you're transitioning from homeschooling, exploring alternatives to public school, or simply looking for a faith-filled academic community, hybrid learning offers the structure of real-time instruction and the freedom of learning from home.

Students who thrive in this environment tend to be independent, adaptable, and self-motivated. They enjoy the flexibility of learning at their own pace in the afternoons, but also benefit from consistent connection with teachers and peers through daily live classes and weekly in-person gatherings. The hybrid model is especially well-suited for students involved in sports, arts, or family schedules that require more freedom than a traditional school day allows. It’s also a great fit for families who want to remain actively involved in their child’s education without having to handle curriculum planning or teaching on their own. With supportive teachers, a biblical foundation, and a close-knit community, hybrid learning at Northside is designed to help students grow in faith, knowledge, and life skills.
