Northside Christian School's Hybrid Learning Program offers the best of both worlds—combining the structure and community of in-person education with the flexibility of home-based learning. With live online classes four days a week and one day in-person filled with hands-on activities and chapel, students thrive academically, socially, and spiritually. Our faith-focused, family-partnered model empowers parents to be actively involved while our experienced teachers guide the learning journey using a biblical worldview and state-accredited curriculum.

At Northside Christian School, our Hybrid Learning Program serves students in grades 5–12 and combines the structure of teacher-led instruction with the flexibility families value.

Four days a week begin with live, interactive online classes from 8:00 AM–12:00 PM. Students log in from home using their school-issued device to engage in real-time instruction with experienced teachers and classmates, similar to a traditional classroom but with the flexibility of learning from home. Classes are taught in manageable blocks with short movement breaks built in, helping students stay focused and refreshed. Morning instruction is structured and teacher-led, covering core subjects through high-quality, standards-based curriculum with a biblical worldview woven throughout.

Afternoons from 1:00–3:00 PM are dedicated to flexible, self-paced learning. During this time, students complete assignments, work on projects, or connect with teachers during virtual office hours for additional support and one-on-one instruction.

Students also gather in person one day each week on Wednesdays at Redeemer Missionary Church in South Bend for chapel, hands-on learning, collaborative activities, and community building. This in-person day strengthens relationships, deepens faith, and provides learning experiences that complement online instruction.

As we plan for the 2026–2027 school year, Northside is also working toward offering additional in-person learning days on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If available, these days would allow for expanded electives, hands-on learning, and extracurricular opportunities that are best experienced together in person. While not yet guaranteed, this growth reflects our commitment to building a well-rounded school experience as the program continues to develop.

This blend of structured instruction, independent learning, and intentional community creates a school experience that is both flexible and deeply connected, preparing students academically, spiritually, and personally for what comes next.

Northside Christian School's Hybrid Learning Program is designed for students in grades 5th–12th. This flexible model is ideal for families seeking a more intentional and balanced approach to education, one that honors both academic excellence and home life. Whether you're transitioning from homeschooling, exploring alternatives to public school, or simply looking for a faith-filled academic community, hybrid learning offers the structure of real-time instruction and the freedom of learning from home.

Students who thrive in this environment tend to be independent, adaptable, and self-motivated. They enjoy the flexibility of learning at their own pace in the afternoons, but also benefit from consistent connection with teachers and peers through daily live classes and weekly in-person gatherings. The hybrid model is especially well-suited for students involved in sports, arts, or family schedules that require more freedom than a traditional school day allows. It’s also a great fit for families who want to remain actively involved in their child’s education without having to handle curriculum planning or teaching on their own. With supportive teachers, a biblical foundation, and a close-knit community, hybrid learning at Northside is designed to help students grow in faith, knowledge, and life skills.
